Caroling with The Birds

Its been such a long time since I have done anything Blog related. My sister Judi begged me to play along at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2. Its been quite a year for me here. Just had two surgery's and one was major. So can't do a lot and of course Crafting is always fun. I miss doing the Sweet Sketch Wednesday.  But still keep up on card making.

The other day I had a group of people from my Neighborhood come to my house and do caroling. It was so special. Some were older in the group and some were younger. What was special about it was they didn't realize I had been down from my surgery's so it really made it special and was very needed. There has been so much going on and things that I cant do so this will be my first year with out a Christmas Tree.

I decided to do two old image I used when I had Sweet Sketch Wednesday up and running. The first one Is Caroling with the Birds and the second one is Holiday Mail. To play along this week we were to uses any Sketch that Sally had made for the year. I choose two different Sketches from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Our Sponsor This week is a A Day For Daisies. I have always loved Tammy's images. It was so fun to uses them again. Hope you join in on the fun and play along.

Happy Birthday for my Sweet Sisters

I have two sisters having a Birthday. They are only about one month apart. I saw the Papertrey Ink Challenge today and thought why not use this challenge for my two card. They want you to use at least three letter from the alphabet using your first or last name. Then you were to follow the chart below.

Paper-Crafting-Alphabet-web

1. Create a new project using the Paper Crafting Alphabet and letters from your first or last name.
2. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product.
So I decided to use the first three letters in my Last name which is Patten
P - use pink some where in your project.
A - add a border
T - tie on some twine
I used two Papertrey products.
Petite Places Church Die
Stamp Set Green Thumb form 2007
Spellbinders Pierced Squares
Ek Sucess  Scallop Diamond Border Punch
Lawn Fawn Stamp Scripty Sayings
Tim Holtz Distressed Inks
Various Patterned Papers, Cardstock and Watercolor Paper
Sequins
I reversed my papers on my cards so they would be slightly different. Really had a fun time making this card and doing the challenge. Hope you enjoy my creation.
Though our three houses may be miles a part. We are always close at heart.
So a big shout out goes to the best Sisters ever!
Happy Birthday
Nancy and Judi
Love Ya,

Peace On Earth

My last and fourth card for today is another one that I created for this month's Paper Smooches Challenge. The challenge is to incorporate gold somewhere on the card. I love my new stamp set A Blessed Christmas. Their are so many possibilities with this set. I used the Cityscapes 1 to go along with my card.

First I die cut a wonky stitches rectangle from Avery Elle out water color paper. This gives some texture to the card. I sponged in my colors and stamped gold stars. Cut a cityscapes 1 out of turquoises card stock and added gold windows. Then I cut a hill die out of Kraft card stock stamped the wise men and the peace on earth. Used narrow gold ribbon, bakers twine and gold sequins.

Hope you have enjoyed my series of 4 Christmas card using A Blessed Christmas. I really love to create and I had so much fun with this set.

Joy To the World

My third card for today is another one that I created for this month's Paper Smooches Challenge. The challenge is to incorporate gold somewhere on the card.  I had so much fun using my new stamp set A blessed Christmas. Their are so many possibilities with this set.  They also have matching dies to this set.

To start with I used the middle piece left over from my shaker card. I die cut the heart in the middle. on white paper I stamped the heart image and colored it with Copic markers.  Inked my card base in gold, tied a gold ribbon and added sequins with pink stars. This card was the easiest and fastest to put together.

I sure am loving the fun colors. Hope you are to. See you in my last post for this card challenge.

Joy To the World

My second card for today is another one that I created for this month's Paper Smooches Challenge. The challenge is to incorporate gold somewhere on the card. I recently bought this really fun paper pack that had gold on it. The colors were so perfect for my card. Why not make a shaker card I thought. I had so much fun using my new stamp set A blessed Christmas. Their are so many possibilities with this set.  They also have matching dies to this set.  Also used the Cityscapes 1 in this set

I sponged my background and stamped the stars in gold. Then die cut my black cityscapes 1 and added gold windows.  Used my hill die and cut that out of Kraft card stock and stamped Joy to the World. Stamped and die cut my Angel. Colored her in with Copic markers and put Wink of Stella on the wings and hair. I took my wonky stitches dies from Avery Elle and die cut my frame. Took a transparency sheet and cut that for the window. Added two layers of foam to the back of my frame. Inside I have added gold and magenta sequins, white glitter and tiny gold stars. Added the  Angel to the out side and used three magenta sequins.

I had so much fun creating this card. See you at my next post.

O Holy Night

My first card for today is one that I created for this month's Paper Smooches Challenge. The challenge is to incorporate gold somewhere on the card. Gold is such a fun touch on Christmas cards so why not play along. I have created three other cards for this challenge but they will be in separate posts. I had so much fun using my new stamp set A blessed Christmas. Their are so many possibilities with this set.  They also have matching dies to this set.

I stamped the city on white card stock. Then sponged my inks around my image. Stamped my heart image and cut it out with the matching heart die. Colored my images in with Copic markers.  I added gold and magenta sequins  along with narrow gold ribbon and bakers twine. To top it off I used my clear Wink of Stella on the heart image. It add just a little more touch of gold.

Well Ill be back with more cards. Thanks for taking a look at my creations.

Avery Elle Holiday Tag - 25 Days of Christmas Tags

I'm playing along  at the very last minute with Avery Elle's AEIHeartU Challenge #30: Holiday Tag, and part of Tracey's McNeely's 5th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! I love the new  Snow Much Fun and wanted to play along with that set.  Been wanting to play along all month but that how my month went. Could not see to find the time.

I used the smaller Wonky Stitches dies  I stamped the sentiment on the tiny tag from that set. The snow hill was made from Simon Says Stamp hill die. Then I used the banner from the Wonky Stitches die set and stamped the second saying. The stamp set was the new Avery Elle Snow Much Fun. I loved doing the fun paper piecing.

Well I hope you enjoyed seeing my tag I really had a fun time making it. Have a Sweet Thanksgiving!
